These pieces are constructed wtih a proprietary concrete blend that is weather resistant and may be left out in the winter. We do recommend that anything that can contain water like birdbaths and the like be drained and covered or turned upside down to prevent possible damage during freeze-thaw cycles.
The pieces also have a weather resistant finish applied and are sealed with an acrylic sealer. Although not essential, a clear acrylic sealer may be reapplied as desired. Simple cleaning with warm soapy water and a sponge is all that is needed.
